This is a working draft. We'll keep refining it as Be a Curious Traveller grows, and the date above will change when we do.
Be a Curious Traveller is an initiative by Gramiyo. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your information when you take the quiz.
What we record
When you finish the quiz, we save an anonymous record of your result: your personality, your scores, your travel style, who you usually travel with and where your trip ideas come from. If you choose to, we also save your age band, what you do (student, working and so on), your star rating and any feedback you type. We also note whether you tapped the buttons to join the community or share the quiz. Each record has a random code instead of your name, so we can't tell who took the quiz.
What we don't record
Your name and town, if you type them to make a hello message for the WhatsApp community, stay on your phone and are never sent to us. We don't ask for your phone number, email or location, we don't use advertising trackers, and we never sell or rent information to anyone.
Why we record it
To show live numbers on the site, such as how many people have taken the quiz and how the personalities are spread, to improve the quiz from your feedback, and to understand how people travel so we can create better guides and experiences.
Where it's kept
Quiz records are stored in a private Google Sheet that only the Gramiyo team can open. The website is hosted by Netlify and uses Google Fonts, which, like most websites, may see basic technical details such as your IP address when the page loads. Your choice of day or night view is saved only in your own browser.
If you join the Curious Travellers community, share the quiz or send us feedback on WhatsApp, that happens inside WhatsApp and follows WhatsApp's own privacy policy. Messages you send us there will show your number to us, and we'll only use it to reply or to keep you in the community.
Young travellers
Anyone can take the quiz. The WhatsApp community is for adults aged 18 and above.
Your choices
Every question on the result page is optional. If you've sent us feedback and want it removed, write to us and we'll delete it.
